At Northern Elite, we offer a variety of recreational gymnastics and tumbling classes designed to develop strength, coordination, flexibility, and confidence in athletes of all ages and skill levels. Our Preschool Gymnastics program introduces young children to the basics of motor skills, body awareness, and coordination through fun activities. For beginners, we offer gymnastics and tumbling classes focusing on foundational skills such as rolls, handstands, cartwheels, and floor exercises, helping athletes build strength and flexibility.
As athletes progress, our Intermediate and Advanced Tumbling classes introduce more advanced techniques, including back handsprings, walkovers, and aerials, while emphasizing strength, precision, and control. We also offer specialized classes like Walkover Classes and Handspring 101, designed to help athletes master key tumbling skills safely and effectively. For athletes ready to take on even more challenging skills, our Twisting Courses focus on teaching the fundamentals of twisting, with progression toward elite-level skills. Beginner Gymnastics

Twisting Courses

This course is designed for athletes ready to learn the fundamentals of twisting and implement them into their tumbling passes. Athletes will learn drills to help them understand the mechanics of twisting and how to control their body in the air. Progressions include learning 1/4 turns, 1/2 turns, full twists, and multiple twisting skills. This class is designed to help athletes progress safely into more advanced skills such as full twisting layouts, double fulls, and Arabians.
