Amanda Kinney is the dedicated Owner and Director of Northern Elite, a role she embraces with both professional passion and a deep sense of family pride. Alongside her husband, Gerrit, and their daughter, Addison, Amanda is thrilled to embark on this journey as a family, viewing Northern Elite not just as a business, but as a shared mission to serve their community. Together, the Kinney family is honored to carry forward the gym’s storied legacy, remaining steadfast in their commitment to the foundational motto of Building Champions for Life.

With nearly 15 years of comprehensive coaching experience, Amanda brings a wealth of expertise and a versatile perspective to the program. Her career has spanned every level of the industry, from introducing young children to the fundamentals of recreational gymnastics to leading high school teams through competitive seasons. She has also spent time developing athletes at the All-Star Prep and Elite levels, where she honed her ability to coach high-stakes technical skills and complex choreography. This diverse background allows her to connect with athletes at every stage of their development, ensuring that each student receives the guidance they need to excel.

At the heart of Amanda’s leadership is a coaching philosophy rooted in the unwavering belief that every child is capable of achieving great things. She understands that the path to success in gymnastics and cheer is paved with discipline and drive, but she also believes that the most meaningful growth occurs when athletes are truly engaged and inspired. By fostering an environment that balances rigorous training with a genuine sense of fun, Amanda helps her students discover their own inner strength and resilience.
